Missional Living

Community Ministries

We partner with several different gospel-centered ministries here in the Brandon community.  We support all of these ministries financially and, where we are able, we support them through our volunteer service.

We believe that the spiritual fruit that God produces in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23) is to make us useful for the growth of His Kingdom.  Fruit produced on a tree, after all, is for others to eat.  And fruit not picked or eaten eventually begins to rot.  So for us to be a spiritually healthy congregation we actively seek to use our spiritual fruit in these ministries that are on the frontlines of mercy-oriented and evangelistic-driven ministry in the Brandon area.

To learn more about these ministries we have included link to the ministries that have a website.

  • Westminster Academy - Westminster Academy’s purpose is to be a ministry of Westminster Presbyterian to the community. It is a half-day preschool program that encourages children by teaching the love of Jesus through words and actions, encouraging respect towards each other, and to benefit the parents of the community. We believe each child is an individual created by God, therefore we strive to provide an atmosphere of love and warmth that will enhance each child’s spiritual, social, emotional and cognitive needs.
  • Meals-on-Wheels - Meals on Wheels are programs that deliver meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals. Several of our members gather in the Westminster Fellowship Hall every Monday morning to prepare and deliver between 75 and 100 meals to the homebound in our community each week.  If you are available on Monday morning and enjoy serving God while fellowshipping with others please consider participating in our Meals-on-Wheels ministry.0LifeCare of Brandon - LifeCare of Brandon is a Christian-based non-profit, non-denominational, non-political organization that
  • is committed to providing compassion, information and support to women, couples and families facing the challenge of an unplanned pregnancy. LifeCare offers support & counseling to pregnant mothers, coaching for new families, life-training for ladies, and encouragement for teens as they face the often tumultuous adolescent stage of life. LifeCare has served nearly 45,000 people since opening their doors in 1987.  For more information on  LifeCare of Brandon you may click here.
  • Steppin’ Stones Farm - Steppin’ Stone Farm seeks in-depth change in the lives of at-risk teenage girls . Through a structured, caring, Christian program that emphasizes accountability and personal responsibility; each girl has a real chance to change her destiny.  For more information on the Steppin' Stones Farm you may click here.
  • Cynthia Pinckney Ministries - Cynthia Pinckney Ministries exists to bring the good news of Cynthia PinckneyCynthia PinckneyJesus Christ by feeding and clothing the homeless, hungry and displaced. While doing this the ministry aims at strengthening the weak, seeking the lost, and fostering in its volunteers that it is more blessed to give than to receive.  You can listen to Cynthia describe the ministry by clicking here.
